Overview
What began in a small UK workshop in 1978, where we transformed old clothes into mechanics rags, has blossomed into a global movement for sustainable textile recycling. Innovative “Trade – Not Aid” programs were created in developing countries, empowering communities worldwide to turn textiles into livelihoods.
We believe every piece of clothing has value, regardless of its condition. While others might see a torn shirt or worn-out pants as trash, we see potential. Through innovative recycling methods, we keep textiles circulating in the economy, ensuring less than 1% ends up in landfills.
Biography
At Clothing Please, we have been repurposing and recycling old clothing for over 45 years. We take full responsibility for every item and every step of the journey. From collection to processing, from upcycling, to recycling and selling—we control it all. We only partner with organisations that share our strong ethical values, and we ensure that every action taken is aligned with our commitment to sustainability.
